Telugu wedding ceremony is take place at the bride’s place with all the rituals of the family. Also the marriages are arranged in temple with blessing of the God and the public places like hotel, resorts and marriage venues. After the marriage function, the invited guests are served foods on an auspicious ceremony.

Engagement or Nischitartham is an important ceremony before the wedding of boy and girl. This is an official announcement of agree to done by both families and perform rituals as per tradition. They select an auspicious date or Muhurtaṃ for the actual marriage ceremony which is based on horoscopes of the bride and groom. On this event the bride’s mother-in-law offers her new clothes, gold jewelry on engagement day. After few days the main wedding ceremony organized as per the fixed date and time.
