Janmashtami Festival of Lord Sri Krishna Birthday

The Hindu festival Janmashtami or Sri krishna Jayanti is the annual birthday celebration of Lord Krishna. It is also known as Krishnashtami which observed on the 8th day (Ashtami) of Krishna Paksha Shravan month of Hindu calendar. It falls on the 5th Septmber 2015 which celebrated as holiday across India. Krishna's childhood days, the playful Dahi Handi function when the young people form human prisim to reach to break the Dahi Handi. On the next day of Sri Janmashtami festival Nandotsav on occasion when Krishna father Kind Nanda Baba gifts to the society in honour of child birth.

Krishna was the eighth son of princess Devaki and her husband Vasudeva. The Hindus devoties celebrate Janmashtami by fasting to midnight the same timing when Lord Krishna is believed to born on the earth. People share sweets and Krishna's childhood photos are decorated on swings in temples and homes for celebration. Midnight comes then people sing devotional songs and sweets gifts and readings of the Bhagavad Gita. It is one of the major Hindu festival which widely celebrated  by the Indian staying across the world with families.
